John is a great story teller whose background as a teacher and counselor has given him many fascinating stories to tell. We still have no idea why our protagonist transformed into a luga in the first place. Here are my thoughts on the series as a whole: This series is not Kate Sherwood's best work. I know, wouldn't you be angry if your mom constantly critiqued how you looked in public, or if everyone looked at you with pity because you couldn't bear children, or if everyone took you for granted. Some of the museum's most iconic pictures presented in the main colorplate section are Rosa Bonheur's "The Horse Fair", Manet's 'Boating", Renoir's "Madame Charpentier and Her Children", Cezanne's "Mont Ste. Always a sure sign of a great childrens story.
