Z already has the chops to be awesome, and it was a refreshing change to read along as she did exactly that.

However for a really fine Grimsley book I would suggest reading Kirith Kirin as soon as you can find a copy (its out of print but available on Kindel). In addition to recounting some well-known legends, Wood considers the manuscripts and other primary sources of historical information on which they are based, assessing the validity of existing documentation, fleshing out historical contexts, and considering the treatment throughout history of these stories by famous writers, poets, and moviemakers.
