I especially like her portrayal of British characters and Samuel Adams, capturing a less than black and white picture of Colonial complaints against the British. I liked Jacobe and Danielle. I have learned so much through this book, from basic things like toasting my own sesame seeds to make hummus (or even using sesame oil in a pinch), as tahini can be pricey, to rinsing the blender with some of the liquid for a recipe so that the blender is easier to clean and nothing is wasted. Every second we hesitate makes it harder to reach the speed needed to ride the wave.
